material makeovers
A saved collection of throw-away ties
Discarded old shirts, sheets, buttons, tea towels
Aged doilies, lace, silks and more.
Deconstructed, reimagined, reconstructed into useful, functional – and gorgeous! – items, rescued from becoming land fill. This is a collaborative collection of “material makeovers”, coordinated by Nicky Haron and Jo Quelch, with pieces contributed from slow stitchers – it’s a delightful eye-opener as to the possibilities of upcycling.
